Why I built this

I build products with coding agents, and I kept hitting the same wall: “make it look good” is not a prompt. Good is subjective. It depends on the vibe that resonates with you, the vibe of your brand. Taste has to come from you, and the agent needs it handed over in a form it can actually follow.

I tried screenshots. I tried “look at this site.” The most steerable form I found is the DESIGN.md approach, first open-sourced by Google: one file of measured colors, type, spacing, and reasoning. An agent reads it and stays on course. So I built the collection I wanted for myself: real websites, measured into files, ready to hand to an agent.

The second problem is research. Sometimes you're deep in a section and you wonder: how did people do this before, and how did people in this industry do it? That's where zawqi is heading next: filtering and agent integration first, then richer data around sections, so your agent can search exactly the subset that matches your problem.

Where the designs come from

Every design is measured from a public website in a live browser session: computed styles and measurements, never copied code. A DESIGN.md describes patterns (the palette, the type scale, the spacing rhythm, the do's and don'ts); it contains none of a site's code, assets, or logos. Every design credits and links its source, right on its page.
